A new sound

Arriving at a new school with new people and a new culture automatically led me to start looking for new teaching styles, teaching strategies and ICT's within the school.  The school where I will be for the duration of teaching practice is a private mainstream school with an inclusive focus for hard of hearing learners. There is thus seems to be a focus on using technology and specifically ICT's in order to engage and develop the learners.  Each classroom has carpets around the walls to better the sound and has a Phonak Roger hearing sound system installed. Hearing impaired learners come to school earlier and staff assist them by putting in FM’s which work together with the Roger to enable better hearing. There are assistant teachers at the school which work individually or in small groups, in class or separate with everyone with a barrier to learning.  The learners do have access to internet and computers at the school but not it is definitely not a BYOD s...
